Ron Rose: One of the Successful Poker Pros

Ron Rose is considered as a late bloomer in the poker industry. Although he was already playing poker when he was only six years old, he did not play professionally until in the year 2000. Prior to his career in the poker industry, he was engaged in several professions. But it does not seem to matter that the poker bug was late in biting Ron Rose with all his admirable poker feats.

Even when he was still a mathematician, project engineer and entrepreneur, Ron Rose never forgot about poker. He still played once in a while although he merely played as a hobby. Nevertheless, he always dreamed of being able to compete against and defeat some of the big names in the poker world someday. Until he decided to engage himself in the poker tournament circuit in 2000. Since then, Ron Rose just gets more and more popular with his success as a poker professional.

With two World Poker Tour titles to his name, it is a fact that Ron Rose has accomplished more than some poker professionals who have been in the industry longer than he has been. He won his first World Poker Tour title on April 2, 2003 when he joined the World Poker Challenge tournament. His prize money was US$168,298.
